Dyrt News

We’re excited to share our feature in the Santa Monica Daily Press, showcasing our collaboration with Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows. Our innovative on-site food waste processing technology is helping the Fairmont make significant strides in sustainability, diverting nearly three tons of food from landfills every week. In terms of landfill methane emissions avoided, it’s an impact equivalent to taking 50 cars off the road.

The coverage also underscores the Fairmont Miramar’s commitment to sustainability from executive management to staff and guests. This unified approach is something we’ve experienced firsthand, and are thrilled to be a part of.

Meanwhile, the story highlights Dyrt’s turnkey waste tracking platform, which enables the Fairmont Miramar to seamlessly meet California’s new organic waste requirements, including achieving a 75% reduction in organic waste disposal by 2025. Together with the Fairmont Miramar, we’re proud to contribute to the state’s efforts in reducing organic waste and set the bar for sustainability in the hospitality business.
